If you've never seen Kevin Smith's low-budget master-piece Clerks, Trooper Clerks will make you chuckle. If you have seen Clerks, Trooper Clerks will make you howl.

This is a great parody of both
Clerks and the
Star Wars saga. The animation, while simple in style, is very pleasing and well done. The real winner is the script, though, which is a perfect send up of Keving Smith's crisp, over-the-top dialogue. I mean, who talks like that? It doesn't matter. It's hilarious.
The opening scene featuring two stormtroopers (call them TK Dante and TK Randal if you will) working behind the counter of a convenience store as they discuss the relative merits of Mallrats and Chasing Amy is worth the price of admission alone. But then the entrance of Darth Jay and Silent Palpatine succeeds in topping that. The drawings are chock full of little jokes. Look for "Aunt Beru Blue Milk" and "Ewok Chips" amid other fun signs and products.
Part 2 is not quite as strong as Part 1, but it holds up. The part with the Bothan spy didn't really work for me. It was too static and the dialogue didn't live up to what had gone before. The big payoff for Part 2 is after the credits, so keep watching. It made this happy jawa just that much more happy.
One caution - If you are offended by profanity obscured by squeaky toy sounds... you really need to chill.
