In some ways this film is simply what kids do in their backyards, basements and driveways every single day. Only this time it is captured on film with high production quality. Crazy Watto takes a bunch of toys, and I mean a bunch of toys, and does a terrific parody of used car commercials, the kind you see late at night or on Saturday afternoons after the cartoons are finished.

After you've seen this film once through, you'll want to go back and see all the stuff that is crawling across the screen. Unfortunately my viewer was not sophisticated enough to pick up the tiny print, but I loved the "No Jedi Mind Tricks!" crawler.

What is most impressive to me is the terrific lighting they were able to get. Watto, which is simply a plastic toy being manipulated by someone off screen, has great detail and color and doesn't look flat and lifeless. The script is very funny with a lot of good punch lines. It moves along at a good clip too, just like used car commercials, so you may have to go back and watch it again for that too. Sandy Clark does a great job voicing Watto.

Some fans may cringe at the mixing of universes, as when Watto pitches a Borg Cube, but to me that simply verifies what this film is all about. These are kids playing with toys. Now excuse me while I find my plastic Millenium Falcon and make "rrrraaawwwnnn" sounds.
