I hate to pan a film that features an adorable kid, but a reviewer's gotta do what a reviewer's gotta do. I loved the idea of Andy's Episode, a young kid surprised by the power of his own imagination, but it never really goes anywhere from there, and, frankly, the ending is a downer. It seems the kid either gives up on his imagination or has it stolen from him, you judge.

The scene with him playing with toothpick lightsabres is priceless and I was all set to love this film in the opening minute and a half, but then it just fizzled out, like a lightsabre with failing duracells. The sound editing is fun and Joseph Tyler is terrific and very believable as Andy. Perhaps a better film lurks beneath the surface of this attempt, but it hasn't been realized here.
