Thanks to the keepers of the
Perfect Duluth Day weblog for linking to the Happy Jawa. Perfect Duluth Day is a blog by Duluthians and some former Duluthians and it's about anything we want it to be about - mostly culture, politics, cool finds, hobbies, and geeky pursuits. I blog there under the name Ironic1.

Ken Lawton, director of Why Alderaan, Episode III Trailer, and other fan films, has provided a useful utility for those who just can't wait for Star Wars: Episode III to come out. It's a countdown clock anticipating the May 19, 2005 release. You can get the code for your own site here.
Ken, and I say this with admiration, you are a bigger geek than I am.

Happy Jawa is now at happyjawa.com!
If you have the old address bookmarked or linked, don't worry, it still works. Thanks to deadbeets sysadmin, computer geek, and all around great guy Karl Wyant for granting the Happy Jawa space and doing all the hocus pocus, mumbo jumbo to get the domain name.

Thanks to Robin Goodfellow for a link on their links page. Robin Goodfellow, in some odd way, was key to the origin of the Happy Jawa. Joe, the manager there, was encouraging staff and regulars to do reviews of games, comics, books or whatever would be of interest to Robin Goodfellow's customer base (in other words, geeks). I started writing a fan film review for them and Joe suggested I come up with a snappy title. I have been in a Star Wars role-playing group which is currently doing an all jawa campaign, and so jawas immediately jumped to mind. Hence, the name. There you have it, folks, the origin of the Happy Jawa.
So, thanks again to Phil (aka Robin Goodfellow webmaster, Chieftan Dunna Kunk, and Nek't Plah) for the link.
